Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to see the Food Network TV show “Southern at Heart” airing Sundays at 10:30am. The show features Louisville’s Damaris Phillips and was filmed in Louisville at the home of Michael and Mary Craig Czerwonka. Here’s a quick behind the scenes look at how the Czerwonka kitchen was selected and why the sound crew loved the location.
Looking For Locations
Through a family friend, the Czerwonkas knew the Kentucky Film Commission was looking for a kitchen to be the set for an upcoming TV project. A recent remodel and addition project gave the family a beautiful new and spacious kitchen and it seemed to match up with the needs of the TV project. After submitting several photos of their kitchen and meeting with scouting producers and directors of the Food Network, their kitchen was chosen for the show.
