Preservation Fest 2012, Tomorrow!  
The Door Store and Windows is proudly sponsoring Preservation Fest 2012 an event presented by Preservation Louisville, Inc. for homeowners interested in maintaining and restoring their older homes and commercial buildings.

 Preservation Fest will be this Saturday, May 12 from 1pm to 4pm at Central Presbyterian Church located at the corner of 4th and Kentucky Streets in Historic Old Louisville. Laurie Scarborough and Don Erickson from The Door Store and Windows will be there along with David Morris of Marvin Windows and Doors. David will speak on "Historic Renovation - Windows" at 2:30pm. More than 50% of Louisville-area homes are at least 60 years old, so this topic should interest many homeowners. Admission is free. Please join us.
 		   

Giant Bluegill Leaps Onto Installer's Hook!

Here's a fish story with a window and door angle. Our Installation Manager, Craig Rowe, received permission from a Door Store and Windows customer to fish their lake. Craig landed an 11+" bluegill during his outing in addition to several other nice bluegill.

Craig appreciated the gesture from the homeowner and promised not to tell anyone where the lake is located. Not sure if that's to honor the privacy of the homeowner or to protect his honey hole! By the way, Craig plans to wash his tape measure before he brings it into your home.
