Project Highlights
- Emily took the homeowners concerns to the drawing board and created a more traditional look in the Craftsman style.
- The homeowners decided to replace all the windows in the home, many of which were inefficient, single pane, aluminum frame windows.
- Marvin Inswing French doors created an open and inviting view of the riverfront and a Simpson Craftsman Douglas Fir entry door with extra wide panels to match the garage door design provided a warm welcome to friends and family.
- The transition covered the interior too, with renovation in several areas of the home including all new interior doors to match the new Craftsman style.

Derek and Emily complimented Don on the great job he did keeping everything straight throughout the remodeling process.
“Don helped us with a very complicated door and window order. Some of the framing was 2×6 and some was 2×4, sill conditions were different, we had different hardware in different locations, some natural and some painted finishes and other custom requests. Don handled everything gracefully and kept us on schedule,” says Emily.
Derek, a master carpenter, also notes, “The installation of all of the products The Door Store and Windows provided was easy. Some of the windows were factory mulled, but were still easy to handle.”
