Team Member Trivia

At Door Store and Windows our people are our stars. They create an enjoyable experience for both our customers and strategic partners and make it fun to come into work every day! For this reason, we are excited to introduce Team Member Trivia – fun facts to help you get to know our team a bit better.

First up we have two people who are relatively new to the team but are already an integral part of carrying out our company mission (hyper link to page) and Core Values (another hyperlink) each day. Meet Don Taylor and Jennifer Griffis:

Don joined our team in mid-December and has been helping ensure the windows and doors around Louisville are in proper working order since the start. Don’s looking forward to the weather warming up so he can enjoy his favorite things. Learn a bit more about Don:

If you didn’t work at the Door Store and Windows, what would be your dream job?

Charter boat captain

If your best friend described you by naming a car, what car would they name?

1970 Ford Bronco

Your dream home – contemporary or traditional?

Traditional

Winter or Summer? Why?

Summer – swimming, fishing, kayaking, everything I enjoy is in the summer months

What’s your favorite team and why?

Mets, I grew up watching them, they were my father’s favorite team

Jennifer Griffis, Accountant

Jennifer joined our team in October of 2018. Much to Virginia’s relief, she’s been keeping the numbers since she walked in the door. This is one lady who knows how to use both sides of her brain as an accountant with an affinity for interior design! Get to know Jennifer:

If you didn’t work at the Door Store and Windows, what would be your dream job?

I would love to work in interior design! I’ve been trying to convince my older brother to go back to college and get a degree in architecture while I get one in interior design so that we can open our own business that would be a one-stop shop for home design. No luck convincing him yet, though… (Hang in there, brother – we’d like to see Jennifer stay put! ;))

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

Not locally owned, but my favorite is The Melting Pot.

If your best friend described you by naming a car, what car would they name?

Probably what I drive now – a Prius…because I’m little and care a lot about the planet.

Your dream home – contemporary or traditional?

I’d have to say traditional with some contemporary touches.

Winter or Summer? Why?

Winter – I love the coziness of sweater weather and sitting in front of a roaring fire.
